GRANITE RIDGE CAMPGROUND RULES

Check in- is after 2.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.  If arriving after 10.00 p.m. arrangements must be made at time of booking, extra charge will apply.

Check out- is by 1.00 p.m.  If you wish to stay later, check with office, and there is a fee of $5.00 per adult for a day pass good until 9.30 p.m.

Camping Day- A camping day is a 23 hour time period between the hours of 2.00 p.m. and 1.00 p.m.
Example:  (Fri 2 p.m. to Sat 1 p.m. is 1 camping day).  (Fri 2 p.m. to Sun 1 p.m. is 2 camping days).  There is an extra charge for early arrivals and staying after checkout time.

Wood- No outside firewood permitted no exceptions.  If you bring wood, you will be asked to take it off the property.  No removal of wood, not even branches for marshmallow sticks out of our bush, dead or alive.  You will be charged $100.00 and up, and evicted for non compliance.  We sell firewood during store hours.  $8.00 for a bag of hard wood, $40.00 for an ATV box load of hardwood, softwood, or slab wood, whichever is available at the time.  We will have kindling as well.  Axes and hatches are not allowed in the park.  (Remember to watch store hours so you are not left without wood or ice for the morning or evenings).  One fire pit per site away from trees and under supervision at all times.  Do not move fire pits, do not put stones around fire pits, do not put cans, bottles or food in fire pits, a clean up fee will be charged.  Fire must be put out when retiring.  Do not pound nails into trees and take down all ropes. There will be a charge if left for us to take down. 

Garbage- All garbage must be recycled.  Barrels are for recycling only.  All other garbage to be tied in bags for pickup daily put bedside blue barrels.  If you miss pickup you can bring it to the dumpster area at front.  If you leave it out over night, you will attract animals and have a mess to clean in the morning.  “Recycling is mandatory”, if left for us to do, extra charges will be applied.

Park Speed- When entering the park, switch to slow driving.  15 km/hr in all areas of the park.  Do not drive around speed bumps, they are there to remind you to slow down.  Driving in the campground is a “privilege”, for those that are able to “slow down to 15 km/hr”.  Speeder will lose this privilege and have their keys confiscated until they check out.  Remember you are on vacation to get away from the rat race, so walk and take in the beauty of the park.  This applies to ATV’S as well.  Boats with motors in our bay, no wake.

Visitors- Open to visitors from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. Adults $5.00, Children $3.00.  All visitors must register at office and get a car tag.  Overnight visitors, regular camping rates.  No visitors on long weekends.  All visitors must park in parking area.  Registered campers are responsible for the actions and behaviour of their guests. 

Your Boat and ATV- fee of $5.00 a day is charged for launching a boat in the lake or river.  For boaters you must have your licence.  Boat trailer cannot be parked down at the beach, there is no room.  All trailers must be parked in the field parking area or on site (room permitting).  Boat trailer left down at the beach or neighbouring site will be towed away a ($15) fee will be charged.  Boats left down at the launch must be pulled up to the right side to keep boat launch open.  Any boats left on the beach will be removed, a ($15.00) fee will be charged.  All boats must be register before arrival due to limited space. ATV’s cannot ride in the park during July and August.  Trail passes can be purchased at the office for Algonquin West ATV Club Trails, for day, weekend, weekly or seasonal access.  During July and August ATV’S must stay on trailers.

Our Water Crafts Rentals- Canoes with up to 3 life jackets $25.00 daily.  Row boats with 4 life jackets $30.00 daily.  14’ boats with electric motors and 4 life jackets $55.00 daily. 2 seat bass boats with electric motor and 2 life jackets $55.00 daily.  2 seat pedal boat with 2 life jackets $25.00 daily.  4 seat pedal boat and 4 life jackets $35.00 daily. Late returns or if we have to come and collect, an extra full day rental will be charged.

Store hours- Mon to Thur. 1.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.  Fri & Sat 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Sun 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Holiday weekends will be posted. (Check our store hours, don’t leave yourself short on wood or ice).

Quite time- Quite time starts at 11.00 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please remember to turn your music way down at 11.00 p.m. (No base).  All music must be off by 1.00 a.m., no music before 8.00 a.m.  This includes car radios when driving.  The May 2-4, festivals and long weekends will be an exception to some of these rules.  See postings.

Pets- Friendly pets are welcome but must be kept under control and on a leash.   Pets must not be left unattended at any time.  You must clean up after your pet.  Pets are not allowed on the beach.  We have a dog beach, ask at office. 

Liquor, Noise, Banned items-Cans or plastic only, no glass bottles.  Do not drink and drive you will be evicted and charged.  Licensees are required to abide by the local noise by-law and must respect the rights of others.  Excessive drinking, partying, loud noise and profane language will not be tolerated at any time of day.  This also applies to children.  Firearms, air guns, slingshots, fireworks, chainsaws, plastic guns, axes, hatches, and glass beer bottles are not permitted.

Car parking- Our lots vary in size and shape, so do the size and # of tents per family, if you run out of room on your site do not park on the next site or block road, you must park in parking area at the front of the park, or book more sites.

Hydro- Sites are 15 amps.  We have 3, 30 amps sites.  There will be a $5.00 charge for fuse replacement. 

Children- Under 18 years are not allowed to roam the park after dark.  Parents must supervise children in the water, washroom and play center.  Make your children aware of the rules.  No life guard on duty, you are responsible for your own safety.

Management- reserves the right to evict anyone for noncompliance of rules without refund.
